Packing List

Paperwork:

Passport
Vaccine certificate (Yellow Fever mandatory in several CA and SA countries)
Health Insurance (World Nomads)

Quebec driver's licence
Quebec motorcycle registration certificate
''Fake wallet'' (with expired cars and a bit of cash - to hand over in case of an armed robbery)

Health:

1. Vaccines:

Dukoral oral vaccine - 2 doses (against E.Coli and cholera)
Boostrix (Tetanus)
Engerix B (Hepatitis B)
Yellow fever
Vivaxim (Hepatitis A)

The vaccines are typically not covered by insurers such as Sun Life or Standard Life. I did have a Sun Life policy at the time of taking the vaccines, but I was not able to claim that expense. Approximate cost of vaccines was 480 CAD.

2. Prescription Medication:

Malarone - 38 x 250mg pills (Malaria prevention/treatment)
Cipro XL - 3 x 1000 mg pills (for major stomach problems)
Loperamide (Immodium) - 20 x 2 mg pills (traveler's diarrhea)
Gravol - 10 x 50 mg pills (for sea sickness)
Hyderm 1% (Cortisone) - Cream - (skin irritation due to insect bites, etc...)
Fucidin 2% (Antibiotic)- Cream - (antibiotic for superficial cuts/wounds)
Gastrolyte - 10 x pkgs (salts for re-hydration in case of diarrhea)

This package cost 370 CAD, but fortunately most of these drugs were covered by my Sun Life policy. The net cost ended up being 130 CAD.
